Target IT messages to only those staff affected. Avoid sending disruptive and unhelpful ‘all staff’ emails. This only adds to email-overload and staff confusion.
Targeting your messages makes them more relevant, which increases readership and ensures your information gets through.
Consider if system X went down in location Z – which staff would this impact? Who would need to know? Or if certain teams are vulnerable to scams, how can you easily update them on new cyber security training?
Set up staff groups based on common information needs – by location, role type, system usage, devices etc. Segmenting staff means you can send targeted, relevant messages faster and easier.
